For the first year in a new country

Your new life already started.
Your nervous system hasn't caught up yet.

A 15-minute practice for the version of you who moved, arrived, and still hasn't quite landed. Whether you've never tried breathwork or meditation, or you already have but it never quite travels with you, this is simple enough to come back to. No equipment needed.

Step 2 of 4

This is one piece of the routine

The full 15-minute practice moves through four steps: movement, breathwork, sensory grounding, and a short visualization. Here's ten seconds of step two, the exhale-longer-than-inhale ratio that tells your nervous system it's safe to stand down.

What's true on paper

You know you're really here. The move is real. Your things are unpacked, mostly.

What your body still does

You still scan a room before you relax in it. You sleep, but not the way you used to.

The whiplash

Some mornings you're out for a walk with your coffee thinking, I actually did this. Two hours later you're undone by something small, a form you can't decode, a bus that never comes, and you can't explain the drop to anyone, least of all yourself.

At 11pm, in a language that isn't quite yours yet, you're not thinking about the adventure. You're thinking: when does this start to feel like mine.

What you've tried

You've told yourself it just takes time, that a year isn't that long. You've downloaded a meditation app twice and deleted it twice, because twenty minutes of a stranger's voice felt like one more thing to get right.

What you've read

Moving abroad is one of the most disruptive things a nervous system can go through, somewhere up there with a major loss. You already knew that in your body. You just didn't have a name for it.

What you don't say out loud

You've quietly stopped telling people back home the truth. They think you're living the dream. Saying it's hard some days feels like admitting you're not grateful enough, not strong enough, not built for the life you chose.

Underneath all of it, you're still bracing.

Where you are right now
BracingSettled

This is roughly what the Quick Check-In measures, before and after, so the shift is something you feel, not something you hope for.

Uprooting doesn't just create new stress. It loosens old stress too, things you'd managed to keep quiet back home, where the ground was familiar enough to hold it.

None of this means something is wrong with you. It means your nervous system has less to stand on right now, and it's asking for help the only way it knows how. Arriving is something your body has to do, slowly. It takes ten to fifteen minutes a day. Less pressure, more simplicity, more consistency.

Introducing

The Arrival Kit

A body-based practice built for the first year abroad, when you're there but not yet home. If it's been longer than that and you still feel this way, it's still for you. Not a course. Not information to absorb. A small set of tools, sequenced in order, for a nervous system that's already at capacity.

What's inside

Everything sequenced in order, for a body with nothing left to spare.

The 15-Minute Grounding Routine

Four steps in order: movement, breathwork, sensory grounding, and a short visualization. This is the Body as Compass entry point into the Anchored Nomad Framework, the method behind everything Anchored Anywhere makes. Works in a rented room, a hostel, an airport bathroom between flights. This is the one you'll come back to.

The Emergency Grounding Protocol

Five steps for the moments that hit without warning. Short enough to use standing up, in public, mid-spiral.

The Quick Check-In

A simple before-and-after scale so you can actually feel the shift, not just hope it happened. Two minutes, no journaling required unless you want to.

Journal Prompts for Every Stage of the Move

Not generic gratitude prompts. Questions built for the specific weeks of a relocation, the excitement, the crash, the guilt, the in-between.

Affirmations for Nomadic Life

Written for people who've actually left, not for people imagining it. No spiritual bypassing. Just language for the version of you that's still catching up.

Bonus: The 3-2-1 Anxious to Anchored Meditation

A short guided audio for the nights your mind won't stop translating the day back to you in your old language.

Where this comes from

The Arrival Kit was built from fifteen years of doing this exact thing, across six countries. Not from theory. From the actual 11pm moments, the actual nights of lying awake translating the day back into a language that felt like home.

Every practice inside has been tested in real relocations, real time zones, real overwhelmed nervous systems, including my own.

Who's behind this

Hi, I'm Theresa

I've lived across six countries over the past fifteen years. I love the actual exploring, new places, a new language, a different rhythm to the day. But my nervous system takes everything in fast, and it gets overwhelmed just as fast. I had to find a way to keep living this way without constantly paying for it in exhaustion.

I have a legal background and I'm a certified yoga teacher, but that's not why I built this. I built it because I needed it, over and over, in six different countries, before it existed.

This is the kit I wish someone had handed me at the airport.
